A gate should close properly, lock properly and be easy to use every day.
This installation is approximately 4 metres wide and 1.85 metres high, with two matching side closure panels. The main gate is steel framed and faced with timber tongue-and-groove boards laid at 45 degrees for a stronger-looking, more finished appearance.
Proper handles, catches and locks
I do not like finishing a gate with a crude bit of metal that has to be lifted, kicked or lined up every time somebody wants to get in. These gates use proper door-style handles, catches and locks — the same basic idea as the doors in your house. You close the gate, the catch works, the handle works and it locks properly.
Made to fit the opening
Every entrance is slightly different. Wall positions, levels, existing posts, access, the amount of privacy wanted and the final choice of timber or hardware all affect the build. That is why these are made to fit the property rather than treated as an off-the-shelf panel.
GUIDE PRICE
Around £1,500 STG all-in.
For a gate of roughly this size and specification, a realistic guide is approximately £1,500 STG all-in, depending on the opening, site conditions, exact finish and hardware required. A simpler or easier installation may come in for less. I will confirm the actual price before the job starts.

Send me a photo of the entrance, the rough width and height, and tell me whether you want full privacy or a more open design. I can then work out what is practical and give you a proper price.
Send the opening and dimensions.
